The North Charleston Amateur is a 36-hole individual stroke play golf tournament for amateurs over the age of 16 years of age and with a valid USGA/ GHIN handicap of 36 or less. The tournament course for both days of competition will be Black Robin to Burn Kill playing at an approximate yardage of 6810-championship, 6353-mens, 5685-senior and 5018-ladies.
Competitors will be flighted by handicap and compete for placement purse within their respective flight and division. Divisions include Championship (competes for overall winner), Men’s Amateur, Senior Amateur (60 and over) and Ladies Amateur with a maximum field size of 144 players.
Entry information and registration forms can be found in the golf shop and are available online at wescottgolf.com. The entry fee is $170 and includes lunch during the tournament, light hors d’oeuvres on Sunday, trophy and prizes; the deadline to enter is October 12, 2018.
Our goal is to encourage and promote the game of golf through fun, competitive play while helping the youth of today learn life skills that are an intricate part of this game. This is why The Golf Club at Wescott Plantation has chosen The First Tee of Greater Charleston as its non-profit organization to support. The First Tee is a youth development program that uses golf as an outlet to encourage life skills such as: responsibility, etiquette, honesty and many others.
